(Facilitator: Lisa Watson) Protest the suppression of the voice of the African working class
community! Defend Connie Burton! TAKE ACTION!
Tampa African community activist Connie Burton's popular Sunday
morning talk show "Straight Talk" has just been canceled by WMNF 88.5 FM. There is broad support for Connie's show, and your voice is urgently needed to get Connie Burton back on the air. Let WMNF and the world hear your outrage at the hypocracy of WMNF to advocate "free speech, cultural diversity, peace and social justice," but attack the only program that represents the point of view of the African working
class community.
The focus of this campaign is in Tampa, Florida, but it is generating interest and support from radio staions and people who care about free speech and social justice nationwide.
