The "premier annual event for anyone interested in helping grassroots groups and nonprofits make more effective use of technology to achieve their missions" will take place in Lowell, MA, on Saturday, June 28th, 2008. I've made my arrangements to attend, and if you haven't already done so, then mark your calendars and plan to be there.
The 2008 conference, Connect, Communicate and Collaborate, will bring people together for a day of connecting, learning, educating - and playing, so that we don't forget how much fun technology and changing the world can be.
Collaborators, colleagues, and clients in the nonprofit and technology sectors will have the opportunity to share resources and learn about what works, what doesn't work, and what is in the works when it comes to using technology to help make the world a better place.
No matter what your connection to nonprofits and technology, the Grassroots Use of Technology Conference has something to offer. The conference will address common issues faced by nonprofit leaders, program staff, development professionals, IT staff, Circuit Riders, and other technology support providers, and topics on the agenda will span a broad range of technology expertise.
Topics on the agenda will span a broad range of technology expertise - including such things as Managing Your Website with Today's Tools to Managing & Recruiting Tech volunteers to The Untapped Power of Social Networks . With more than 20 sessions planned, you're bound to find what you're interested in. To see more topics that will be covered, browse the agenda and see what other activities are planned.
I'll certainly be there from beginning to end because it's the best opportunity I will have to meet colleagues and learn a tremendous amount about this sector. If you are going to the conference, leave a comment here or send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we'll try to meet up before or after the conference.
See you all there!
