CT Students Against the War Conference

Starting Date: 04-25-2009

Wesleyan University
Middletown, Connecticut 06457
United States
Connecticut Students Against the War (CTSAW) is organizing an open conference for all students to participate in developing the student movement in Connecticut and the northeast. CTSAW will be developing unifying resolutions to build the movement and develop a future action plan for ct student activists. We invite students from all over the northeast to participate in an effort to build regional solidarity between all student movements and organizations. Below is information about the conference. We are looking for endorsers and people to participate in several issue panels as well - students and non-students. Get in touch with CTSAW at the contacts listed below if you are interested in participating. CTSAW is seeking to expand the anti-war movement by developing connections with other student movements, so we are encouraging the inclusion of workshops on topics that focus on these connections. We will be offering housing for those who would like to stay overnight.

Here is the list of issue panels
that we will be running:

1. The War in Iraq

2. The War in Afghanistan

3. The Occupation of Palestine/War on Gaza

4. Impending US Actions in Iran and Pakistan

5. US Backed Military Actions

6. The Economic Crisis

If you or your group are interested in getting involved, please
contact us asap by replying to this e-mail, through the website, or by
calling either Marissa or myself at the numbers listed below. We are
especially looking for people to volunteer to sit on these panels.

You may also run your own panel or workshop. We are especially interested in including Immigration, Obama Era Activism, and workshops addressing LGBTQ Issues, Womens' Rights, and any other issue as well as skills workshops or campaign workshops.
