Are you an activist who is interested in sharing your organizing skills with DC children and youth?
Come work as an Organizing Skills Leader with Hope Community Charter School’s Extended Day program and design your own club. We are looking for people who can contribute their own interests and skill sets to the program, including, but not limited to youth justice, zine making, Do It Yourself workshops, documentary- making, public speaking, media relations, researching and choosing an issue, creating and running a campaign, organizing a group, and creating timelines/ time management. This position will provide an exciting opportunity to work with students as well as Provisions Library, DC’s premier social change learning resource, and various other non profit social justice organizations. We welcome any local partnerships you can offer the students of Hope Community Charter School.
You may volunteer as a Club Leader in exchange for community service hours, but payment is also available at $10/hr. Hours are between 3:30 and 5:30pm, for up to 3 days per week. We are willing to work around school and work schedules.
