Uhuru Furniture is an project of the African People's Education and Defense Fund, organizing programs for self-reliance and economic development in the hands of the African community. Recent projects include the establishment of a licensed community kitchen as a resource base for independent start up food businesses and a recording studio for African artists to produce and control their own music.
