Notes
New York Union Semester is offered through Queens College/CUNY and is an academic internship program that provides undergraduate students an opportunity to intern with a union or affiliated community organization while taking labor studies courses at our mid-Manhattan center.

New York Union Semester offers students a $1,700 tuition scholarship. In addition, students are allotted a $210 per week stipend and the opportunity to earn up to 16 college credits. As interns, students acquire hands-on experience and work on a wide range of projects including organizing, immigrant rights, and environmental hazards at the workplace. Past participants have come from a wide range of academic majors and have included both committed labor activists and students with little prior knowledge of social justice issues.

The application deadline for Fall 2005 is April 15. Students interested in the Spring 2006 Program may apply on a rolling basis.
