AFRICAN STUDENTS’ FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA (AFRISTUPADIA), Is a nongovernmental organization founded after an all embracing students conference with delegates across tertiary institutions in Africa and incorporated in Federal Republic of Nigeria with Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) to promote Peace, Unity, rights, interest and reading culture among African students so that the incidences of violence, corruption, vices and diseases especially the dreaded HIV/AIDS would be eliminated from our society.

A young African of Nigeria extraction comrade Martins Chiedozie Ugwu, A students of university of Port Harcourt Nigeria, who is seriously disturbed by the anomalies in African society especially in her tertiary institutions ranging from wide spread of HIV/AIDS, incessant crises all over the continent, corruption, religious sentiment and ethnic jingoism, decline in reading culture among students in Africa, misrepresentation about students in and from Africa made contacts with some students elsewhere in the continent and AFRISTUPADIA was born.

This noble student’s body is made up of dedicated students across tertiary institutions in Africa. A non-violence movement for change through grass root sensitization and awareness for altitudinal change and character reformation towards ensuring a better tomorrow and preparing our students for future challenges. The movement is also to sensitize the entire youths on the dangers of taking to arms as the only alternative in solving our problem.
